INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

As part of our bilingual common project, Some 1st of ESO Section groups carried out plenty of activities on occasion of International Women's Day on March 8th. They worked on this topic from different perspectives, trying to promote their critical thinking at all times. They read a text about Malala Yousafzai, watched videos, listened to a song, held debates...  .Eventually, they created projects that they presented orally in their classes and then were used to decorate their classrooms.

Fast Fashion Project 3º ESO D

Environmental issues such as pollution, overconsumption, and emissions of toxic gasses have become more and more serious as each year passes. One of the most prevalent reasons for these events are the production, consumption, and waste of clothing.  We as a society have become more aware of the toll that the fashion industry as a whole takes on the environment over the last 10 years. So why is the problem only getting worse?

The aim of this final project is to present what we know about the fashion industry’s effects on our environment, and start discussions about ways that we as individuals can take action to mitigate these effects.

4th ESO STUDENTS PERFORM SCENES FROM NOUGHTS & CROSSES

Our students of 4th ESO (Section) have just finished reading the book NOUGHTS & CROSSES, by the British author Malorie Blackman.

After reading it they performed different scenes from the most exciting and moving moments in the book. We have discovered a great potential for acting in them!

We had good fun both performing and watching the performances.

Noughts & Crosses depicts a society where there’s a powerful, wealthy, black ruling class who are discriminating against the whites. By making this switch, the author makes it easier for white people to imagine what it's like to experience racism, and for everyone to think about the unfairness that prejudice creates.

Therefore, this experience has helped our students reflect on the issues the book rises: racism, freedom, friendship and love!

We can’t wait for the next performace!

                                                                                   CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN

Many members of the school staff were involved in the successful event that took place in our school last Friday 29th to celebrate Halloween, when our first graders had the chance to visit a Tunnel of Terror that we put together. Thank you very much to everybody who got involved for making this day an unforgattable one for our students.
