For centuries, women have made notable contributions to the field of science. They discovered life-saving medicines, engineered world-changing inventions, and led cutting-edge research; however, in many cases, their invaluable advances have been underestimated or overlooked.
Picking up the game designed during the first term, we analyze how studies have repeatedly reported that math and science are perceived as male domains, and scientists as predominantly male. We discover the impact of the gender image of school science texts observing the proportion of females and males scientists we have included in the games. This ends to promote reflection on gender stereotypes around professions in the sciences and to raise awareness of scientific research by women.
