How the Circulatory System Connects Us

Our heart, a wonderful machine

The circulatory system is a pathway used by our bodies to interconnect every single part of them with the others.

Follow the path of a single drop of blood through this wonderful journey explained by Elisa Rivera:

Watch the following video made by Noa y Sofía in which you can see a more detailed explanation about this
 `mess´:

Now that we have learned this let´s discover the anatomy of our heart. For this purpose we have recorded these videotutorials in the biology lab, so you can follow the explanation step by step.

How the Immune System Connects Us.

THE IMMUNE SYSTEM CONNECTS US

Covid19 pandemics has taught us that we are connected through our immune system, in the way we face the pathogen via our immune cells and immune molecules, such as the lymphocytes-B, lymphocytes-T, Natural-KillerCells, antibodies, etc.

The virus has demonstrated, one way or another, that there are differences between the group of individuals that comprise the Homo sapiens species.

In order to explain how this process happens we have elaborated this set of comic strips and infographics by which the process of humoral response works and the importance of it to get rid of viruses, bacteria and other pathogens that threaten our health.

Here you can have a look at our artists work

but first look ath the creative process of one of our students 👇

As you can see, we have an entire army inside our bodies ready to fight infections, now it is time to realize that we are so similar among us, no matter the country, the gender or the colour of our skin.

BLACKOUT POETRY

Our 2ESO students have tried their best to get their own little but rich poems using the so-called "blackout poetry", which consists on  blacking out any unwanted words from a paragraph, book, sign, etc. using whatever inking or coloring tools you have on hand. These are some of their masterpieces. I hope you like them!!!

Project in 3rd and 4th ESO: THE IMPACT OF FAST FASHION ON THE ENVIRONMENT

For a couple of weeks, our students from 3rd and 4th ESO have been learning and talking about different aspects related to the fashion industry, like the impact on workers and the environment. They have been involved in different activities like defining “fast fashion”, analysing where their clothes come from or reflecting upon the environmental consequences and the human resources that are needed to create garments, and they have created posters to raise awareness about the environmental impact of the fashion industry. This way they have reflected upon the need to take personal responsibility when buying clothes, the effects of over-consumption, the easy changes we can make to be sustainable and the urge to improve safety and working conditions in the fashion industry. Here are some examples of their works:
